Road selected restriction signs

Road selected restriction signs are a subset of the regulatory sign group as set out by the United Nations Economic and Social Council in the Vienna Convention on Road Signs and Signals of 1968. By international convention these signs are rectangular white signs carrying a black symbol and having a red border, though there are a few that are blue rectangular signs with a white border and white symbol or text. There are four types of road selective restriction signs currently in use in South Africa – those carrying symbols, times, actions or a text message. These signs are used to restrict vehicles from gaining access to particular areas, or to indicate the times within which a restriction of some sort is in place. This type of sign is widely used in Europe and in North America.
Armco Signage manufactures and markets a wide range of road traffic signs including road selective restriction signs for South Africa and our neighbouring countries. As we are a signage company we also produce a range of other signage products, such as vinyl signs, posters, printed self-adhesive labels, contractor boards – in fact anything you would expect a signage company to produce. Our signs are manufactured in accordance with SADC specifications. Our road signs, including road selective restriction signs, are carefully made in accordance with the standards laid down by different government departments or according to your own specifications.
