Signage Company

Armco Superlite (Pty) Ltd have been supplying the construction industry with cost effective solutions to road building, mining and various other applications for many years, and in 2008 they took over the signage company Nameplate Centre, a company that had been active in the signage industry for over 40 years and was the acknowledged leader in the road sign industry. The signage company was renamed Armco Signage, and is a respected provider of of all types of signage both in South Africa and Internationally. Signage is basically any type of displayed graphics that has been created in order to convey information to its beholder. In the field of road signage, therefore, we have a number of different types of sign. There are:
- Regulatory signs – signs that tell you what you must or must not do
- Warning signs – signs that warn you of a hazard or other signal ahead
- Guidance signs – signs that give you information about directions, distances, tourist information etc.
- Symbolic safety signs – signs that warn of hazards etc by the symbol on the sign
- Combination signs – a combination of two or more signs
Many of the above can be either permanent signs or can be temporary signs.
The signs that a signage company produces obviously have to be accurate and in accordance with specifications that have been laid down by the signage company’s clients, whether they be government departments or private clients.
