Road comprehensive signs

Road Comprehensive Signs indicate that the use of a particular road, or a part of a road, is subject to Comprehensive regulations and restrictions. The signs are rectangular with white on a blue background and have a red border. Where the regulations and restrictions no longer apply, the sign has a red cross through it. There are only three of these signs in use in South Africa, and Armco Signage manufactures them all. These are “Dual carriage freeway begins”, “Single carriageway freeway begins” and “Residential Area”. As indicated above, where the restriction or conditions cease, the end is depicted by a large red diagonal cross through the sign Armco Signage is the chief producer of South Africa’s road signs, including road comprehension signs.
